Jess Glynne hits out after being turned away from Sexy Fish for wearing a hoodie calling it ‘pure discrimination’

JESS Glynne has lashed out a posh restaurant for turning her away because she was wearing a hoodie - calling it “pure discrimination”.

The Hold My Hand singer, 30, criticised Sexy Fish in London after she and a friend had tried to get a table there last night.

The superstar was dressed in a grey oversized hoodie, black jogging bottoms, a black cap, and trainers.

She wrote to her 800k Instagram followers: “I turned up to your restaurant looking like this and you looked me and my friend up and down and said no you can’t come in and your restaurant was EMPTY.

“I then went to @amazonicolondon who greeted me and my friend with pure joy and we had a banging meal with wicked service.

“@sexyfishlondon please check yourself if this is how you treat people cause it’s rude, off putting, embarrassing and most definitely not inviting.

“We were made to wait and 2 members of staff came to look at us and make a decision based on our appearance.

“I think the attitude of your staff needs to change as that was pure discrimination. Thanks and bye.”

Rapper Professor Green commented: “Can’t lie, you didn’t miss out on anything food wise.”

Asian restaurant and late night bar Sexy Fish is known as a destination for celebs with DJ Maya Jama calling it her "favourite restaurant".

Its website states their dress code is “smart casual” and guests are asked not to wear “sportswear, beachwear. ripped jeans, flip flops, sliders or workout trainers”.

Twitter user Alim Kheraj said: “Someone needs to tell Jess Glynne that… being turned away from a restaurant cos you’re wearing a hoody is not discrimination.”

A second added: "Sexy Fish is a 5* restaurant with a dress code in Mayfair - I wouldn’t have let you in looking like that either @JessGlynne".
