AS Celebrity MasterChef returns for a 15th series, Death In Paradise star Shyko Amos will be one of the 20 celebrities competing.
Death In Paradise fans love the character of Ruby Patterson, but who is Shyko Amos, the actor who plays her?
Who is Shyko Amos?
Shyko Amos is a British actress with Guyanese roots, who will be starring in the first episode of Celebrity MasterChef on July 1.
In the first round, she'll be competing against Rak-Su band member Myles Stephenson, The Apprentice contestant Thomas Skinner and Loose Women panellist, and stand-up comedian Judi Love.
Amos attended the National Youth Music Theatre, and also gained a BA Honours degree in politics from Queen Mary's University, London.
She then did an MA in Musical Theatre at The Guildford School of Acting, before getting signed by an agent.
Shyko is also related to Baroness Valarie Amos of Brondesbury.
What has she starred in?
Shyko arrived on our screens in Death In Paradise in 2019, although she'd previously played a small role in A Very English Scandal.
Her character Ruby Patterson was first introduced as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson’s niece in season eight of the series.

She replaced Danny John-Jules, who had been in the show since it began, playing Officer Dwayne Myers.
Shyko had a number of small roles before joining Death in Paradise.
This included starring in shorts such as 3-C, One Small Step for Melvin, Tell You Something and A Very English Scandal in 2018.
