BRITAIN'S Got Talent fans were sent into a frenzy tonight by host Ant McPartlin's brand new beard.
The clean-cut star showed off new facial fuzz as he presented the first live semi-final alongside Dec Donnelly, which went down a storm on social media.
Twitter user Tom Overton gushed: "Can I vote for Ant's beard to win. By far the best talent on show. #bgt."
@lucy_lilac added: "Well doesn't Ant suit having a beard! Very handsome! @BGT @antanddec #bgt #antanddec #beardlove."
Joanne Earle said: "Loving the designer stubble Ant "the beard" Mcpartlin."
Another wrote: "Ant or Dec whoever is growing that beard has immediately gotten about 10x as hot #BGT."
And one said: "@antanddec just can't stop staring at ant... His stubble looks hot on him #BGT."
Stephanie Tranter blunty added: "Watching @BGT final and I've always fancied the pants off of Dec...move over shortass it's all about Ant with that stubble! #wow #handsome."
Sadly, Ant's beard failed to impress Simon Cowell.
The Syco boss asked: "What is that on your face?"
Ant replied: "It's the same thing you've got on your face," prompting Simon to joke: "Have you seen that movie single white female?"
But @MissLisaaJayne told him: "Ant I don't care what @SimonCowell thinks, your beard is looking love a bit of stubble! #BGT2016 #BGT #BritneyOnBBMAs."
However, Simon wasn't the only one unimpressed.
Mark Chandler asked: "Ant are we going for a real beard or has it just been a long weekend with no time to shave?"
Hollyoaks actor Joe Tracini joked: "Is there a bit on the #bgt app where you can buzz Ant's beard?"
Another user asked: "#bgt is Ant growing a beard so he can replace the hair for his head? just asking lol."
It's not the only strangely sexual moment from tonight's show.
Hunky dancing group Total TXS confused viewers by shedding their tops and dancing to the Spice Girls in bras in the semi-final's oddest moment.
Joe Michalczuk moaned: "You go to all that trouble wearing a bra for "bants" and then you don't even get a laugh."
BGT judge Amanda Holden also won huge praise for her cleavage-flashing Bond girl-inspired outfit.
Sophie Taylor said: "WOW!! @AmandaHolden looks amazing."
While Jess added: "How gorgeous does Amanda Holden look tonight #BritainsGotTalent.";
User Dan Baynham said: "Well hello Amanda Holden! Someone's looking drop dead gorgeous tonight."
