Ian tries to do a runner with killer son Bobby after he confesses to clobbering Jane in Eastenders
Ian Beale tries to leg it with his son but gets stopped in his tracks by Mick Carter
MICK Carter will come into the Beale drama in Eastenders’ this week, after catching Ian trying to do a runner with his violent son.
Eastenders’ fans were left reeling on Friday after shocking scenes saw Bobby brutally batter step-mum Jane over the head with a hockey stick.
The teen hadn’t reacted well to the news that his family can no longer afford to keep him at his boarding school after Ian pulled out of a deal to sell his beloved restaurant.
But Bobby comes clean about the incident to his dad on Monday – in the middle of Stacey and Martin’s wedding reception at the Queen Vic.
Party-goers will be stunned to silence as the child walks in to the pub coated in blood and still brandishing his hockey stick.
After checking on his wife, who will now be fighting for her life in hospital, new photos appear to show doting Dad Ian trying to make a run for it with his troubled son.
"However we are always mindful of our time slot in which we are shown and we ensure all scenes are editorially justified.
"The scenes in question were the crescendo of a long running storyline that has shown Bobby to have previous violent tendencies.
"Viewers will soon see Bobby arrested by Police and he and his family will be facing up to his behaviour in the most serious of ways."
Tune in Monday 23 May at 8pm on BBC1 to find out.
