Jemma Lucy apologises after she is caught on camera using the N-word at a house party in Manchester
Reality star says sorry following release of clip which shows her using a racial slur
REALITY star Jemma Lucy has issued an apology after she was caught on camera using the N-word.
The Ex on the Beach contestant was filmed rapping along to hip-hop music and using a racial slur during a house party with friends.
The clip emerged online and she has now issued a statement apologising for her behaviour, telling fans: "I am so sorry if it has offended anyone".
Jemma, 27, is believed to have been partying with co-star Jordan Davies and a group of friends at his flat in Manchester last night.
Video footage of the bash was posted on Snapchat, and the clips show Jemma showing off her new blue hair as she danced around the room.
She was seen wearing a tiny white T-shirt which is cinched at the waist to show off her flat stomach.
Jemma is shown dancing around the room, before she puts her arm around a friend and faces the camera.
She is then seen rapping along to the music and using the N-word repeatedly.
The TV star has now issued an apology for using such inflammatory language, telling The Mirror: "I'm just singing along to a rap song, as I love rap music. I was at a house party I am so sorry if it has offended anyone."
The reality regular has been hitting the party scene hard since she returned from filming the latest series of Ex on The Beach in Thailand.
She reportedly bedded Geordie Shore star Gaz Beadle during their stint in the exotic location.
It caused an upset back home when his on/off girlfriend Charlotte Crosby found out about his antics.
Jemma posted a series of sexy shots from her time away, and has been continuing the fun back home with a series of wild nights out.
However, another of her fun evenings ended in controversy after she was slammed by the London Fire Brigade for sparking up a makeshift flamethrower using a lighter and a deodorant can.
She filmed herself leaning in to the flame to light a cigarette in her mouth in a move which was branded "dangerous" by fire officials.
A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade said: "We asked her to take it down because we were concerned that people would follow her video and do that in their own home.
"It's disappointing that they still remain up, and we urge people not follow her example as it can be extremely dangerous. Not only to the people doing it, but also their homes and the people inside.
The Brigade became worried of the consequences of the video after a growing trend in the US of people doing the same thing.
Branded with the hashtag #firespraychallenge the fire brigade grew concerned about the trend coming over to the UK.
"We know she didn't use the hashtag but she has 279,000 followers. It becomes impressionable and people do follow trends that are out there. It will only take one for it to become a serious incident."
Jemma responded by defending her actions.
She wrote in a post on Twitter: "I never said I was a role model end of.”
