Dot begins by asking skinhead Phil about the moments just after he found his mum's body as she continues to speculate about the situation.
Phil tries to steer clear of the painful topic and can be heard saying: "No disrespect Dot, but I really don't want to talk about it."
Yet Dot, dressed in a pale blue jacket and matching fascinator, continued to press on.
As she told Phil her suspicious he glanced nervously at ex Sharon (Letitia Dean) who was also in the room.
Viewers are now left on tenterhooks as to whether Peggy's last secret will be revealed.
Off-screen, June revealed Barbara Windsor had decided to kill off her character because she didn't feel she belonged any more.
Babs, 78, had bowed out of her beloved role after 22 years on Albert Square.

Barbara's close pal told The One Show: I knew that she wanted to leave. She told me when we were having one of our chats, which we often do because we're very good friends.
"She said that she was tired of coming into the Square and not having a base, nowhere to go really. She didn't belong anywhere anymore, because Peggy was the pub. And if she wasn't in the pub with a, 'get out of my pub', where was she going to be?
"I thought it was a very good idea that she could have a very good storyline to go out on - a finale."
Immediately after Tuesday's emotion-packed episode, fans took to Twitter to hail Peggy's death as a "beautiful" soap moment.
One wrote: “RIP to the Queen of Walford. The Queen of the square. The true Queen of the vic #EastEnders #EELastOrders," while another sobbed: “This was heartbreaking. Best EastEnders episode ever! Dame Barbra is a spectacular actress & amazing person. #EELastOrders (sic)”

During the show, they also saw the return of on-screen son Grant Mitchell (Ross Kemp) and the ghost of late best friend Pat Butcher (Pam St. Clement).
Reminiscing about happier times gone by, Peggy also opened up to Pat about the actions she was about to take.
She asked: "Will they ever forgive me, the kids? Am I going to break their hearts? I just can’t wait. I’m being eaten alive and it hurts. I don’t want that to be me, to be that little old lady in the bed being looked after.”
With her mind made up, she added: "I'll go as I have lived, straight back, head held high, like a queen."
Promising not to leave her, Pat then remained with Peggy until the very end.
