‘He could make the show come alive!’ Rylan Clark-Neal reportedly lined up to host The Xtra Factor

The former contestant is rumoured to be co-hosting the next series with Laura Whitmore

RYLAN Clark-Neal is reportedly being lined up to host the next series of The Xtra Factor.

The reality TV star is rumoured to be a favourite of bosses of the X factor’s sister show which airs on ITV2.

Sources said he has impressed them so much with his presenting skills, having fronted the Big Brother spin-off Big Brother’s Bit On The Side and his stint on This Morning.

A source told Now magazine: “Bosses really want to sign Rylan,” a source told . “He’s a seasoned professional, funny, and could make the show come alive.

“He’s got a lot going on with Big Brother and his own show, but his friends think he’d be crazy to turn this down - he’d be an amazing asset to the show.”

And he could be co-hosting with Irish presenter Laura Whitmore, who recently quit I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here NOW!

She used to presenter for MTV Europe and left her role as host of MTV News in February 2015.

“[Quitting] was the biggest sign yet that she’s up for the job because she could never have done both at once.

“They’d be a brilliant duo and everyone thinks their on-screen chemistry would be great.”

The Sun Online has contacted reps for Laura and Rylan for comment.

Rylan has presented BBBOTS since 2013 as well as Celebrity Big Brother and its spin off Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit on The Side.

He also fronted the weekend spin-off Big Brother’s Bit On The Psych.

Last year he joined This Morning as a reporter and has stood in as a presenter alongside Ruth Langsford when Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are away.

Then he landed his very own show on Channel 5 and launched Up Late With Rylan last week which was met by mixed reviews.

Taking to Twitter after the first one aired, he wrote: “Well that was eventful. Everything that could go wrong went wrong! But that’s tele.

“Tonight felt a bit rushed to me. We will change this for tomorrow. We’re just finding our feet Thanks for tuning in and lots of love.”
