Holly Willoughby to host dating show where contestants’ dates Meet The Parents first
Embarrassing childhood stories could determine love matches
HOLLY Willoughby is set to front a new dating show where contestants meet the parents of potential love matches.
The new show, called Meet The Parents, will see singletons from across the UK put their faith – or foolishness – into the hands of their folks as they take control of their love lives.
The potential new partners will get to grill the parents about any subject they chose, from their bad habits to their relationship history.
They can even ask about, and no doubt laugh at any embarrassing childhood stories the parents wish to divulge.
And the all the singletons can do is watch and cringe and have no control over the proceedings – except for one phone call urging them to stop talking.
After meeting a number of parents, the suitor picks a date on whatever details took their fancy.
But it’s not quite that simple as they have to meet the ones they turned down before meeting their pick.
Holly said: "We all know how embarrassing parents can be and nobody knows you better than they do.
"I can't wait to hear what humiliating secrets they'll be revealing and see who will regret leaving their love life in the hands of their parents."
Holly is going to have a busy time of it hosting this show, This Morning, and being a team captain on Celebrity Juice!
One thing’s for sure, she will always make time to eat after she admitted on This Morning this week that eating is her favourite pastime.
On the show this week she and co-host Phillip Schofield were joined by Mary McCartney who is carrying on her late mother Linda’s legacy of promoting vegetarian food.
And Holly could not stop munching on the veggie burgers Mary had brought along, despite her very clingy dress.
Later in the show they were joined by TV chefs the Hairy Bikers who were talking about their recent weight loss.
Holly spotted a deconstructed cheesecake on the table and made a beeline for it, remarking that it was really delicious.
Pausing before her next mouthful, she then cried: "Why can't my hobby be jogging? It's so unfair!"
