Bake Off judge Paul’s buns are shrinking as he cuts back on cake before new GBBO series
No more saggy bottoms for TV chef as co-star Mary Berry helps him slim before new series of GBBO
GREAT British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood is slimming — and cutting down on cakes to help tone his buns.
Co-star Mary Berry, 81, has also advised the TV chef to eat smaller portions and he is working out with a personal trainer three times a week as the pair film the seventh series of the hit BBC1 series.
Paul has already lost half a stone in less than a month.
A Bake Off source said: “It’s proving difficult for Paul to shift the weight when he’s spending the whole day eating cake.
“Mary has suggested he just eat smaller portions but he has to try all of the bakes regardless.
“But off screen he is sticking to a strict diet of absolutely no cakes whatsoever. So he is using his days in the tent like treat days.
“He is also working out with a personal trainer three times a week and is regularly hitting the tennis court.
“Paul is really taking it seriously. He is determined to get into shape after turning 50 in March.
“The show is such a huge hit that it’s important he is looking good on camera.”
He wants to lose at least another stone by the time the seventh series is screened in August.
The new series of GBBO is currently shrouded in secrecy after the sixth series became a phenomenom, with 15 million viewers tuning in to see Nadiya Hussain crowned the winner.
