Beyonce and Jay Z have battled through numerous ‘silent separations’ says Bey’s cousin

Pop power couple Beyonce and Jay Z's marriage has been plagued with "silent separations" and secret splits according to the beauty's cousin.

Shanica Knowles has spoken out after Queen B dropped a huge hint her hubby had done the dirty on her in provocative new lyrics on latest album Lemonade.

She sings about infidelity with the certain someone dubbed as "Becky with the good hair" and shortly after the pair were spotted without their wedding rings.

Yet Shanica claimed the couple's relationship drama had been a "long process" and said: I've heard they've had to deal with silent separations and splits over the past few years, but Bey is praying this album will actually save her marriage."

She added: "She's been through the intense anger and I think she's now learning to forgive Jay.

"The next few months are going to be the test - this is make or break for them - but he's determined to do everything she can to make it work."

On Monday night, Beyonce was spotted without her other half as she walked the red carpet at the swanky 2016 Met Gala alone.

A close pal brushed off claims of yet another feud and instead insisted as the rapper had attended the past two previous shindigs, he ddin't fancy another this time around.

The Knowles family member also suggests Beyonce's faith in the future of her marriage to Jay Z - father to their daughter Blue Ivy - lies in her new record.

She said: "Beyonce has been encouraged to write about the affair rumours to help her deal with it all and help her determine whether she could work through everything or have to end the marriage."

Talking to heat magazine she added: "Everyone is still very protective of Bey. She's trying to put a brave face on things but she may not be able to get over this.

"Despite doing everything in her power to make it work, this could backfire. She's admitted that she still may end up divorcing him.

"It's up to Jay to continue fighting for her and prove that he's determined to do whatever it takes to keep his wife."

Earlier this week he was spotted slashing his bling wedding band on his Instagram page.

He posted a snap showing off his wedding jewellery, quashing rumours that he and Beyonce had split.

The hip hop star could well have been following in Beyonce’s footsteps after she took to the stage during the first night of her Formation World Tour to pay a gushing tribute to her “lovely husband”.

She added: “I love you so much.”
