Stars including James Buckley and Miriam Margoyles raking in cash from adoring fans who pay to be insulted and sworn at
CELEBRITIES have been raking in cash during lockdown from adoring fans who pay to be insulted and sworn at.
Actors, musicians and sports stars — out of work over the pandemic — have been recording personalised videos on demand.
Hundreds of stars have signed up to the Cameo website to pay bills after their work dried up.
The most expensive video is Caitlyn Jenner, at £2,075 per video.
Most do straightforward messages but some are a bit foul-mouthed.
Bafta-winning Miriam Margoyles, 79, who charges £83 a pop — is famously sweary.
And The Inbetweeners’ James Buckley, 32, swears in character as Jay for £41.50, making him £100,000 in just three months.
He said: “I got asked a load of times to do video messages for people and could never be bothered. Until I found out there was a way I could do it for money.”
