‘Lynda Bellingham was worried her husband Michael was straying’ says Pattemore’s ex-girlfriend
Late Loose Women star's ex reportedly had a reputation as a 'charmer'
LYNDA Bellingham didn't trust her husband, his ex-girlfriend has claimed.
Denise Sutton, who dated Michael Pattermore before he went on to marry the late Loose Women presenter in 2008, has claimed that Lynda regularly called her to share concerns about her partner.
Before she passed away back in 2014 following a battle with bowel cancer, Lynda apparently found herself at the centre of a war between her husband and her two sons, who were unable to get along.
Denise told Women's Own: "She called me once and told me she was having a real problem, that the boys didn't like Micky. She had to buy a separate flat in North London so they could go there when Michael flew over. She was fed up of hiding him."
According to Denise, Lynda was aware of Michael's reputation as a "charmer" and made it clear that it was her boys, Robert and Michael, who would inherit her fortune.
"She'd call me and ask about him. She was concerned, but always said 'He'll never inherit the money'. The boys were her life, she wanted them to have it."
Denise went on to claim that the last time she spoke with Lynda, the actress voiced concerns about Michael's fidelity.
"I last spoke to her a few weeks before they got married. She was worried because her sons refused to go to the wedding. I think she called for reassurance that I hadn't had any contact with him, because she didn't trust him."
"She wanted his company and was lonely. I never heard from her after that."
Despite what she told Denise, when Lynda passed away she left her entire estate in the hands of her husband.
Following their mother's death, Robert and Michael have been locked in a bitter battle with their stepfather over their inheritance.
The pair shockingly claimed this week that they have only seen £750 of their mother's huge fortune, which reportedly stood at £10 million at the time of her passing.
To make matters worse, Pattermore has reportedly asked the boys to move out of their North London apartment.
Robbie told Sunday People: "He said I’d have to move out as he’d decided to move to Somerset and wanted to rent out the flat."
"I don’t think being asked to leave my home less than a year after my mum had died constitutes looking after her boys."
