Adele tells fan to ‘be patient’ as she breaks silence on album delay after posting throwback Glastonbury snap
ADELE told a fan to "be patient" as she breaks silence on her fourth album delay after posting a Glastonbury throwback.
The singer headlined the festival four years ago and the performance has gone down as one of fans' favourite ever.
While this year's Glastonbury festival was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Adele uploaded a photo of her singing to her Instagram.
In the photo, the music legend is wearing a black dress with sparkling sequins.
Fans loved the pic, which also got them more excited for her upcoming and delayed album.
One person said: "Teaser? Albums coming out today???!!!! Tell me now!!!!"
Another added: "queen pls come back"
A third remarked: "queen drop the album don't be shy"
However, Adele replied to one of the fans: "of course it's not. Corona ain't over. I'm quarantining. Wear a mask and be patient."
Adele performed on the legendary Pyramid Stage during Glastonbury in 2016.
But while she dazzled fans with her voice, she also achieved notoriety for swearing 33 times during the 90 minute set.
Earlier this week, Adele's manager confirmed her fourth studio album is delayed and won't be out in September.
The as-yet untitled album will be her first in five years, following up 2015’s 25 which featured hits Hello and When We Were Young.
Initially, Adele sent fans into a tizzy in February when she announced at a pal’s wedding that her latest record would be out this September.
However, the release date has been thrown into doubt by the pandemic, which has caused some artists to delay releasing their own albums.
Adele's manager Jonathan Dickins, who is the founder of September Management, told that she won't be releasing new music this autumn and wouldn't confirm when fans should expect it either.
He told the publication: "It isn’t coming in September, it’ll be ready when it’s ready.

Adele has been working on the new release with OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote her songs Remedy and Rumour Has It.
Despite saying he was going to "stay completely mum on new Adele", he told The Sun: "I’ll just say that she sounds better than ever."
