Wayne and Coleen Rooney set to film documentary about their private life and careers
A NEW documentary is to take a “Wayne’s world” look at life with the Rooneys.
The England ace, 34, will throw open the doors to the home he shares with long-suffering wife Coleen and their four sons.
He will discuss his professional career which began at 16, and may tackle controversies including his vice girl sex shame and drink-drive rap.
Fans will be hoping he chimes in on 34-year-old Coleen’s “Wagatha Christie” spat with Rebekah Vardy amid claims of leaked stories from a social media account.
Rooney has contributed personal footage to offer “an intimate window into Wayne’s world”, say documentary-makers.
He said: “I’m excited to be the subject of this documentary.
“This is a film that looks in detail at my journey: The highs, the lows, the beautiful game, finally I have the opportunity to show the person I really am.”
Director and Bafta-winner Matt Smith is the man behind Rio Ferdinand: Being Mum and Dad — about the ex-player’s struggle with family life following his wife’s cancer death.
And producers Lorton Entertainment made acclaimed Oasis film Supersonic.
Rooney will talk about his 2002 Everton debut, his £26million move to Manchester United two years later, and becoming England’s record goalscorer.
He will chat about his US stint and becoming player-coach at Derby County.
Other topics could include his 2010 vice girl scandal and 2017 booze rap.
The film, titled Rooney, is set for cinema and streaming release next year.
