ROBBIE Williams is writing wrongs with former Take That bandmate Gary Barlow promising the group will 'ride again'.

The singer, 46, revealed he'd been penning some tunes with Gary as recently as the past few weeks getting Take That fans very excited.

Robbie made headlines when he left the boy band at the height of its success and fans have wanted new music from the group featuring their favourite bad boy ever since.

While Take That have continued to perform over the years without Robbie and he has joined them sporadically joined them in live performances, fans want him back in the group permanently.

Speaking on Mark Wright's Heart Evening Show, Robbie revealed the exciting news on Thursday night.

Mark asked: "Any more Take That plans? We loved the live at home with you guys."

To which Robbie dropped the bombshell: "I’ve been writing some songs with Gary Barlow in the last few weeks too."

Mark then said what everyone was thinking: "Oh wow, amazing!"

Robbie was convinced the boys would become a band again, but remained tight lipped on when that might be.

He said: "Yeah, so, you know, we will ride again, me and my brothers.

"I don’t know when that’s going to be but we will ride again."

Robbie joined his old bandmates Gary, 49, Mark Owen, 48, and Howard Donald, 52, for a lockdown fundraiser gig last month.

Fifth member, Jason Orange, quit the band permanently in 2014 and did not join the boys for the performance.

It was the first time Robbie performed with Take That since the 2018 X Factor final.

And it came nearly three decades after the release of the then boyband’s first album Take That & Party.

Take That formed in Manchester in 1990 and scored their first No 1 album with Everything Changes in 1993 and its first No 1 single Pray.

Robbie's revelation on Mark's radio show is not the first time recently that he's teased a possible Take That reunion.

In April, he promised the famous boy group would reunite but not for another five years.

Chatting on talkSPORT, the pop star mused: "I’ve just figured out that, and here’s a sombre thought for you all, I’m 46; if I have 30 more good years in the business, I’ve got 12 or 13 projects left."

"Will one of those be Take That? I don’t know... but I will hazard a guess and say ‘yes’.

"But I’ve got so many ideas I want to do and so many things I want to fulfil that I know what I am doing for the next five years, and it doesn’t involve Take That.

He finished by saying: "[But] yes, I do want to do another gig with Take That."
