THIS Morning viewers were shocked to find out Michael Underwood has quit TV to return to teaching.
Michael appeared on the show alongside wife Angellica Bell on Tuesday to speak about rebooting the BBC's axed 500 words project alongside Chris Evans.
The children's writing competition is a one-off special in aid of the Black Lives Matter movement.
However, fans were mainly shocked to find out that Michael was in a classroom teaching kids - rather than pursuing his presenting career.
One person wrote: "Michael Underwood is now a teacher?! #thismorning"
Another said: "TIL Michael Underwood is a teacher these days. #ThisMorning"
Even TV's Lizzie Cundy said: "My old buddy Michael Underwood is a teacher !!! Wow I never knew !! Incredible !! And what a great competition 500 words"
Michael has been a reporter on The One Show, Good Morning Britain and This Morning, as well as a presenter on CBBC and a competitor on Dancing On Ice 2008.
However, Michael returned to teaching back in February 2018, as Key Stage 2 Drama Teacher at Surbiton High School.
From September 2019, he became the Year 4 Form tutor too.
