Strictly’s Anton Du Beke reveals he was terrified as son George, 3, was operated on after being rushed to hospital
STRICTLY's Anton Du Beke reveals he was terrified as his son George underwent an emergency operation.
The professional dancer opened up on what really transpired when he had to rush his young son to A&E.
Anton, 53, was concerned after finding an abscess on George's leg and was kept in hospital earlier this month while the surgeons removed it.
Recalling the scary incident, he told : "We weren't sure if he had been bitten but it suddenly became this massive thing. I showed it to my doctor on Facetime and George got whisked straight to hospital, where he stayed for two nights.
"Hannah was there the first day and night, then I took over. The general anaesthetic part was scary but George was amazing and so calm. The doctors thought he was an absolute superstar. They are very happy with his recovery."
He even mentioned that he would love to have more children with wife Hannah Summers, who also share George's twin Henrietta.
Anton added: "He said: I would have a hundred children if we were younger, wealthier and had a big enough house."
After George left the hospital, the father-of-two cancelled one of his online fitness classes to focus on his son's health.
He updated his fans on telling them: "Morning my loves, thank you all so much for your kind messages about George - delighted to say all's well and he's in fine fettle!"
The dancer was last partnered with Emma Barton on Strictly in 2019, where the pair strutted their way to the final and finished runners-up.

“Hannah didn’t fall pregnant quite as quickly as they would have liked and it was a source of worry for them for a while.
