KATIE Price is surprising her daughter Princess with a puppy for her 13th birthday.
The 42-year-old has picked out a French bulldog puppy as a special gift for the soon-to-be teenager – just days after Peter Andre said no because his wife Emily is allergic.
A source told The Sun Online: “The dog is arriving at Katie’s house next week.
“Katie knows Princess has missed having a puppy around and now Katie’s only got one dog, she thinks it’ll be a good companion for Blade.
“Princess will pick the name, but she’ll have to stay with Katie when Princess goes back to her dad’s, as Emily is allergic to dogs.”
Katie – who recently became an ambassador for Bingo Blitz – has been planning to get a new dog for a while.
It comes four months after her Alsatian Sparkle was tragically killed running onto a busy road.
The 41-year-old reality star was devastated by the heartbreaking accident on the A24 close to Katie’s home.
She now wants a fresh start with a new pup – and thinks surprising Princess is the perfect way to do it.
Katie is now living just ten minutes away from Princess’ dad Pete, making her close enough for Princess to see the pup regularly.
Pete lives with his second wife Emily who is mum to Amelia, 6, and Theo, 3. Pete also has son Junior, 14, with Katie.
The family have been documenting their hectic life together in a new family reality show, Life With The Andres.
Katie’s pal Dreamboy Al Warrell – who she’s staying with – showed off Katie looking at new puppies on social media today.
Katie’s spokesman told us: “I can confirm that Katie is considering getting a puppy but hasn’t bought one just yet.
“Katie is still deeply upset over the loss of her beloved Sparkle, who was sadly run over earlier this year.
“Katie’s dog blade is her best friend.”
Blade is a protection dog that Katie got following a series of kidnap threats.
The mum-of-five had first-hand experience of violence after being held at gunpoint in South Africa amid a carjacking.

When she first got her protection dog she told fans: “Meet Blade our new family protection dog @protectiondogworldwide doing our first training session together this morning!
“I will feel safer and so will Princess as she still suffers from the hijack at gun point we had in South Africa when filming last year.”
