K-POP star Yohan, whose real name was Kim Jeong-hwan, has died at the age of 28.
The South Korean star died on Tuesday 16 June, several South Korean news outlets have announced. The cause of the singer's death has not yet been revealed.
Who was K-Pop star Yohan?
was a member of the boy band TST, formally known as Top Secret, who released their most recent album, Countdown, in January 2020.
He found fame in 2015 as part of the group NOM and after that group disbanded he joined TST in 2017 alongside bandmates Ain, K, Wooyoung, Junghoon and Yonghyun, and Kyeongha. Kyeongha subsequently left the band in 2018 after allegations of sexual assault.
TST gained popularity with singles such as She, Mind Control, Love Story, Paradise and Wake Up, reports the Metro. They had been promoting as a four-piece due to Kyeongha enlisting in the military, and Wooyoung resting due to ill health.
Yohan celebrated his 28th birthday on April 16, posting a smiling photograph of himself holding a cake to mark the occasion. His last Instagram post was shared on May 31st, and featured a picture of him on the beach, and the caption "I want to travel".
What was his cause of death?
The singer's music label, KJ Music Entertainment, released a statement saying:
"Hello. This is TST's label, KJ Music Entertainment.
"We are sad to relay the most unfortunate, sorrowful news. Back on June 16, TST member Yohan left this world.
"The late Yohan's family is currently in deep mourning. The family has pleaded that media articles about Yohan's passing, such as those making speculations about the cause of his death, be refrained out of respect.
"We express our deepest condolences in light of Yohan's final parting."
No more details about his death are available as reports suggest his family have asked for it to remain private.
Yohan's wake is reportedly being held at the Severance Hospital in Seoul and it will be followed by a funeral on June 18th, where he will be buried at the Yongin Catholic Park Cemetery.

Fans of the star and celebrities have paid tribute to him on social media. South Korean singer Lee Kiseop wrote in a comment on Yohan's post: "I love you a lot, Yohan... I miss you."
Another Instagram user, minkim._n wrote: "Rest in peace. We love you." A third user, yunosutopia, wrote: "I hope you find peace angel."
