The top-floor love nest features a walk-in dressing room and mezzanine floor en suite with bath, shower and loo.

Plans for the £20million Cheshire property include two lift shafts.

One links guest rooms with a basement leisure floor including gym, pool, jacuzzi, cinema room, bar and snooker table.

A source said yesterday: “There’s no expense spared and Wayne and Coleen have total control of the design.

“They thought the lifts would be a great feature — and certainly be easier than hauling all Coleen’s clothes up the stairs.”

Former England footie ace Wayne and Coleen, both 34, spent £4.3million on an old farm and land three years ago.

They have splashed out millions of pounds on the mansion and hope to move in with their four sons later this year.

A hallway to the main suite features an evening room and doors opening on to two terraces.

Builders were forced to down tools at the start of the coronavirus lockdown but are back working. Initially, planners raised questions about the size of the property.

But it was approved after officers said it was a more visually pleasing development than the farm it was replacing. Officials said: “The development is considered to have less of an impact than existing buildings.”

Derby County’s Wayne will be back in action when the Championship restarts next Saturday.
