VPR’s Billie Lee calls to ‘cancel’ co-star Jax Taylor after she claims he ‘refused to film’ with her because she’s trans
VANDERPUMP Rules’ Billie Lee has called for co-star Jax Taylor to be “canceled” after she claimed he “refused to film” with her because she’s transgender.
The reality star’s plea comes just hours after announced it had , 31, and Kristen Doute, 37, for accusations of past racist behavior.
On Tuesday, Billie, 36, tweeted at the network: “What about Jax Taylor?
“He refused to film with me because I was trans and called him out on his white cis privilege.
“Stop celebrating his disgusting actions,” she fired off along with a “cancel Jax Taylor” hashtag.
In August 2019, Billie told that when she first joined season six of , the cast told her not to talk to Jax.
“When it comes to Jax, there were some things that I overheard him say off-camera that I thought was very alarming,” she said to the magazine.
The reality star said she initially wanted to “inspire” him to “be a better person.”
“I really tried to have that moment with Jax but then I did realize he’s just an awful person,” she fired off.
Billie further accused her cast mates of questionable behavior.
“I do feel that there is some very self-involved individuals, and those self-involved people can be also ignorant which is completely different than being transphobic.
“Now is the opportunity to take your head out of your own a** and say, ‘Wow, we have someone representing - we have a minority representing a very small community that’s under attack, let’s make sure we include her.’
“I feel like the cast failed in that way,” she claimed.
The blogger's call-to-action was sent out the same day Bravo revealed Stassi and cast mate Kristen will after it was discovered they on VPR alum Faith Stowers.
Billie opened up about her own experience with her former co-star's on Tuesday.
She wrote: "You see Faith and I were just the token black and trans girl. We were edited into a villain.
"To be first lifted up only to be torn down. A villain for someone else’s story. The star role was already taken by white privilege and her name was Stassi Schroeder.
"For those of you who don’t know, the show follows a group of white and privileged friends who work at a restaurant owned by a white and privileged cis woman," the TV personality blasted.
The reality star continued: "I’m not here to tell you that Stassi or any of my previous cast members are racists but I will tell you their white cis privilege cost me my job and it looks like their privilege could of cost a black girl her life.
"Who’s next? I will also tell you it’s not just Stassi. It’s her network BravoTV. BravoTV supported this girl after all the awful things she has done.
"Not only did they support her, they celebrated her with more airtime," she criticized.
Billie then asked Bravo to "add more people of color on ALL your shows! Add more LGBTQ+ on ALL your shows!"
