DENISE Van Outen's cheeky man Eddie Boxshall thanked Lorraine Kelly for 'taking his live TV cherry' as they spoke about their new TV gig.

The couple chatted to the host on Good Morning Britain today after joining the Celebrity Gogglebox line-up - and Eddie couldn't resist making Lorraine blush.

Denise's fiance gave the presenter a thumbs up and said from their Essex home: "Before we go Lorraine I was just about to say to you thanks for taking my live TV cherry, it's my first time!"

Shocked Lorraine laughed as she replied: "Oh thanks! Always happy to help in those circumstances.

"I'm not sure what I can say about that but you are very welcome!"

The couple have been together for six years and during the chat, Eddie said he had taken a sabbatical from working in the city.

He's now a handyman around the house - but Denise joked she had a new business plan for him.

She quipped: "Eddie has done my roots twice now in lockdown.

"I said to him he should open a salon because we live in Essex. He could do a social distance hair salon, with really long scissors."

The couple also rallied friends to make PPE for hospices and hospitals around the area as the NHS struggle for supplies.

Denise revealed: "If the second wave comes, which is predicted, then we will start up again. And we've got money in the pot so we can still make more scrubs."

Eddie had quite a different career from his famous girlfriend - he's a commodities trader from Essex who specialised in the oil business.

He was dismissed from his job with SCB & Associates for "gross misconduct and material dishonesty".

Eddie, who has a 21-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, started dating Denise back in July 2014 after they were introduced by a mutual friend.

And Denise has revealed Eddie is desperate to have a baby with her.

In January 2019 they finally moved in together - although they still haven't set a date for their wedding.

Denise was married to Lee Mead and they met when she was a judge on BBC talent show Any Dream Will Do in 2007.

The couple announced their engagement in January 2009 and married in the Seychelles in April 2009.

Their daughter Betsy is now 10 years old.

However, Lee and Denise didn't have a happy ending and in July 2013 the couple split up.

They finalised their divorce in 2015.
