Normal People’s Paul Mescal soaks up the sun on walk with his co-star and flatmate India Mullen
NORMAL People's Paul Mescal was pictured soaking up the sunshine with his co-star and flatmate India Mullen over the weekend.
Paul, 24, who has become a heartthrob since starring in the BBC series, looked happy and relaxed as he spent time with 23-year-old India.
The pair dressed down for their outing as they popped to a nearby coffee shop and later raced each other back to their London pad whilst giggling.
Paul showed off his muscular legs in a pair of white sports shorts which he paired with a sleeveless burgundy top and shades.
The Irish actor enjoyed a cigarette during their stroll and appeared engrossed in conversation with India, who played the role of Peggy in Normal People.
The blonde actress showed off her slender physique in a pair of black adidas shorts and a baggy white vest which she teamed with sunglasses and a pair of dark trainers.
Paul, who plays Connell Waldron in Normal People, recently claimed he is single but it's been reported that the pair’s close relationship set tongues wagging amongst cast and crew.
Last month, amateur photographer India — who shot her flatmate for a cover with trendy Mr Porter magazine — admitted in a radio interview that she "fangirls" over Paul.
A set source told The Sun Online: "Paul and India have a brilliant, flirty relationship, and are always laughing. They’ve grown incredibly close, and made the decision to live with each other. They’re incredibly supportive of one another’s careers."
Paul is believed to have moved into the London flat in March, before the UK went into lockdown due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
Paul left fans gutted last week when he revealed that season two of Normal People "is not on the cards".
The actor admitted the ending left many "unanswered" questions between his character and love interest Marianne Sheridan.
But, with author Sally Rooney having never written a sequel or follow-up to her best-selling book, Paul said he wasn’t sure whether we’d see a second series.

The Irishman told Wonderland Magazine: "Oh, there's no question that character to me is still alive and breathing and very much has a lot of life left to live, and has a relationship with Marianne that is maybe unfinished.
"I do feel like the series that has finished is its own thing, and I'm totally comfortable with that.
"It's not on the cards at the moment, but if I got the opportunity to play him again, amazing."
