Stargirl cast tease epic Arrowverse crossovers with The Flash, Batwoman and Supergirl
STARGIRL cast teased an huge crossover superhero shows such as The Flash, Batwoman and Supergirl.
The superhero is one of the newest additions to the Arrowverse but the cast of The CW's latest superhero program are already thinking of ways in which they can get involved in any future crossovers.
Stargirl joined the CW network in May and as a result, there are future opportunities for the young star to potentially get involved with get involved with characters from the likes of Supergirl, The Flash and Batwoman.
The 21-year-old told TV Guide she would love to work with Supergirl as their names signifies that they need to work together.
She said: "At the beginning, we didn't actually know we were going to be a part of the Arrowverse," she said. "We were strictly just supposed to be DC Universe.
She added: "We didn't know where else we were going to go and so finding out that we were going to get to join that family and that huge fanbase that's already there, kind of like a built-in fanbase, it's really exciting."
Courtney's stepdad Pat Dugan, who is played by Luke Wilson, revealed that he's particularly keen on a crossover with The Flash.
He added: "I think it would be kinda cool once the show gets rolling after this first season to start kind of broadening the horizons and introducing new characters, not just from the DC Universe but [also] from the Arrowverse".
Courtney's character was inspired by series creator Geoff Johns' late sister, who was also named Courtney.
In one of the show's early scenes, we see photos on Courtney/Stargirl's bulletin board, one of which features the real Courtney beside her fictional counterpart.

The character of Courtney Whitmore/Stargirl, , first appeared in the July 1999 comic book, Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E., just a few years after Geoff’s sister Courtney passed away at 18.
She was one of the 230 people who were killed in the TWA Flight 800 crash on July 17, 1996, and Geoff wanted to honor her memory by creating the character of Courtney, who not only bears her name but her “spirit.”
Ahead of ’s premiere, Geoff penned a personal letter to fans to share the story behind the show and to introduce them to his “smart, funny and endlessly enthusiastic” late sister.
He described this story as his most personal one, as he wrote: “It is her spirit and optimistic energy that I wanted to put back in the world with Stargirl. It is celebratory, forward-looking and positive. And I hope that comes through when you watch these episodes.
Stargirl airs on DC Universe on Mondays and The CW on Tuesdays in the US. The UK premiere date is currently unknown.
