When is Total Wipeout returning?

The new show will be hosted by Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff and will be called Total Wipeout: Freddie And Paddy Takeover.

The six-parter will see the duo voice over some of the best clips from the show, which ran for three years before it was axed in 2012.

The BBC is showing the new series tonight at 7.10pm on BBC One.

Why did Richard Hammond quit Total Wipeout?

Richard didn't actually quit the show.

The series was actually axed by the BBC back in 2012.

However, Richard cut his ties with the BBC three years after Total Wipeout was axed after he, James May and Jeremy Clarkson left Top Gear.

The trio are now Britain's highest earning TV stars, being paid a whopping £86,783 a day by Amazon Prime.

How does Total Wipeout work?

During Total Wipeout contestants are put through a series of obstacle courses and challenges.

After each challenge a certain number of them are eliminated from the competition.

After the fourth and final round the fastest of the remaining three competitors around the course wins the game and the £10,000 cash prize.
