PETER and Emily Andre aren’t bothered that the gyms have closed in lockdown – because they are planning on working out together more than ever.
The couple are preparing to start trying for another baby to add to their brood, as the 47-year-old singer is keen to be a dad again before he turns 50.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Peter said: “A baby would be amazing. We keep saying yes, we keep saying no. I think maybe!”
The dad of four and NHS doctor Emily have two kids together — Theo, three, and Amelia, six, while Peter is also father to Junior, 14, and Princess, 12, with his ex-wife, Katie Price.
But he admits he likes the idea of “practising” for a baby without thinking of the consequences of actually having one, whereas Emily is more practical.
Peter said: “It’s tough, because if someone says to the guy, ‘Do you want another child?’ you’re just thinking, ‘Oh yeah, let’s try, why not?’
“We have discussions all the time. “I said to Emily, ‘If you want another one then we have to start trying now.
“I’m 47 and I don’t want to be changing nappies at 50 because I’ve done it so many times over the last 15 years.’
“This is my last year that I would be willing to try, because then I’m over the nanny stage for good.
“Unless you’re someone like Simon Cowell, having his first baby in his 50s.”
But unlike Joe Wicks, who recently confessed he has to “schedule” in sex once a week with his wife Rosie, Peter jokes that he doesn’t even have time to organise a loo break.
He said: “How many kids has he got? Two? Try doubling that and then let me know.
“It’s more like, ‘How do we get through this week?’ I can’t even schedule a toilet appointment.
“The only thing I know that’s going to happen is that at some point in the morning I’m going to have a coffee but I don’t know when.”
But with the tenth anniversary of the day they met coming up in July, Peter is keen to celebrate, no matter what.
He said: “We can’t go away at the moment like I planned but we’ll celebrate somehow. Hey, maybe I could mention another baby — it’s a reasonable excuse, right?”
Peter, who comes from a large family himself, reckons a big brood just “makes sense”.
He said: “I’m one of six, my dad is one of 12. And his dad got his mum pregnant 17 times so he was really one of 17. But these days five kids is quite a lot.”
And Peter is willing to let fans see at first hand how they manage to keep the spark in their marriage alive in lockdown, despite raising four kids.
He is making an eagerly-awaited comeback to reality TV after seven years with a new family show, Life With The Andres, starting on Wednesday night on .
It will feature the family in 15-minute episodes streamed for free, twice a week, and will make you laugh and feel your spirits lifted as the Andres show how they are making lockdown work.
Peter said: “There’s cameras all over the house and the kids can pick one up whenever they want.
“We’re going to film so many things, as there is so much going on in the house — cooking, bike rides, education, fun times, sad times, and how it is with my wife working on the front line.
“Emily will be on camera, and the kids. We can’t wait.
Peter, whose last reality TV show, Peter Andre: My Life, ended in 2013, said: “People think I stopped filming seven years ago because I met Emily and she didn’t want to be on camera but that’s not the case at all — she can’t wait.
“I actually stopped because we had reached ten series and I wanted to end on a high and more importantly, I had lost my brother Andrew to kidney cancer in 2012 and it was hard to continue filming and grieving at the same time.
“ITV gave me a month off because I was having a hard time but I realised that every time I filmed, it was too painful.”
In lockdown the couple have grown even closer, and have recently bonded more by training together, with Peter determined to get 30-year-old Emily the “Peter Andre six-pack” — or maybe get him back to his prime, he jokes. We will find out on the show . . .
He said: “Emily has started training in the gym.
“She’s always looked amazing, but she has never trained, and now she’s started. I’ll be giving her tips on how to get a six-pack like mine.
I said to Emily, If you want another baby we have to try now, I’m 47 and I don’t want to be changing nappies at 50
“We were doing exercises the other day and she asked if what we were doing was easy or hard.
“She got really angry because I didn’t find it hard.
“She was like, ‘You jammy git!’ I said, ‘Well look, I’ve been doing abs since I was 14 and now I’m 47.’
“But then the flip side is I’m not as good at leg workouts as her.
“We go out on a bike ride most days and she said it makes her feel good, so she then thought she would train and see if it does the same, so she carried on.”
Fans will also get a glimpse of how Peter stays so young-looking — and it’s not just by having a much younger, beautiful wife.
He said: “I’ve started taking this marine collagen in the liquid form with omega 3 and vitamin D.
“It’s super-strength and makes a difference within a few weeks. I’ve started to think, ‘God, I’m nearly 50,’ so I’m taking good care of myself.
“We eat well and cook healthy, with a few naughty moments, but we will show you some of that on the show too.”
Peter was worried about how he would tackle looking after his four kids, home-schooling them and being the cook and cleaner, while Emily is working 12-hour shifts on the NHS front line — but it is fair to say he has nailed it.
A LITTLE ROMANCE
He said: “We really pulled together at the start and knew we were going to work together as a team. We knew it was going to be a challenge.
“I didn’t know how I was going to cope but I knew that I had to really step up to the plate because Emily was doing something incredible.
“What she is having to do is something I wouldn’t want to see with my own eyes.
“You’ll see on the show how Emily has to sneak into the house without the kids hearing her after working to disinfect herself for 30 minutes and have a shower.
“It has changed the way we live for the moment or for the foreseeable future.
“Since lockdown we have been inundated with requests to film a reality show again after posting on Instagram so we thought we’d do some filming together.
“Lockdown has been incredible for us as a family and we’ve really bonded.
“I know it’s so hard for many and we miss our family and friends but it’s something we all have to do right now, so we are making the most of it.

“Yes, I have had lots of work move to next year, but I have still been busy with ambassador roles for companies and writing some more songs.
“We’ve switched our minds from being a romantic marriage to making this situation work. It’s made us stronger and there is always time for a little romance.
“I’ll be sad when lockdown is over. Well, part of me will anyway.”
