CALVIN Harris has revealed he died in 2014 before doctors restarted his heart and saved his life.
The world famous DJ told how his heart stopped and he had to be resuscitated by doctors as he shared his brush with death on Twitter last night.
Sharing a video of his set at EDC festival in 2014, he said to fans: "Interesting year for me 2014, started with me knocking myself off number 1 in the UK and ended with my heart getting restarted in the ER...this sort of stuff happened in between."
His followers were shocked by his admission, as one said: "Did Calvin Harris temporarily die? Wtf did I miss?"
Another wrote: "I remember! All that you said was you had heart problems to fix but damn! You never said your heart needed to be restarted!"
And one more said: "Calvin, you can’t just say something like that and not tell the story. That’s just rude."
Harris was at the height of his fame in 2014, having attended the Grammys with girlfriend Rita Ora in January before his track Summer reaching number one in March.
It also became Harris's highest-charting solo single on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was Spotify's most-streamed track of 2014 with over 200 million clicks.
He had released his fourth studio album, Motion, which debuted at number two in the UK and number five in the US.
Later, he collaborated with Ellie Goulding on Outside and Rita Ora on I Will Never Let You Down.

He told a fan during a Q&A that he got “in a right old state” back then and when asked if he was “pished", he replied: “Haven’t drank in 4 years big man”.
He added: “Aye things are a bit less fun but haven’t had an arrhythmia since 2014”.
Arrhythmia is when the heart beats with an irregular or abnormal rhythm and can be caused by alcohol abuse.
Calvin's career went from strength to strength after he quit booze, he went on to release How Deep Is Your Love with Disciples in January 2015, was nominated for three Brit Awards and headlined EDC festival in Las Vegas with Tiësto and Avicii.
Later that year Calvin dumped American model Aarika Wolf for Taylor Swift but they split in 2016, and he reunited with Aarika.
The star was hospitalised again in Los Angeles following a terrifying car crash after another vehicle ploughed into the car he was travelling in.
The Scottish star was treated for cuts to his face, but a group of teenagers in the other vehicle sustained more serious injuries.
Calvin was due to perform at Reading and Leeds Festivals this year before coronavirus forced festival season to be cancelled.
Last year, he sold his impressive Los Angeles home, four years after first putting it on the market.
