‘Embarrassed’ Lily Allen thinks she might have been offered a role on Stranger Things
LILY Allen thinks she was offered an acting role on American Horror Story, but she's not really sure.
The Smile singer, 35, took to Instagram to reveal her confusion and discuss what happened with her "fandom".
Sitting on a dark sofa, sporting a dark bob and a make-up free look, the singer revealed to fans the juicy details.
Lily explained: "This is so embarrassing. I was called up and asked what my availability was for autumn.
"I can’t remember if it was this year or next year, they were interested in me being in American Horror Story, sounds plausible."
Lily then revealed she reached out to her ex-boyfriend Seb Chew to discuss whether she should say yes to the offer, which she thinks happened “maybe six months, maybe a year ago”.
She added: "So then I was like yeah, I’ll call Seb [Chew] about that, and speak to him because it could be quite interesting.
"I called my manager today and he has absolutely no recollection.
"Seb searched his emails and nothing was there, and then called my mum thinking it came from her, she said she had no idea what he was talking about."
Lily laughed at herself throughout the video and captioned it, "silly sausage".
The mum-of-two said she only recently remembered the alleged phone call because she'd been discussing AHS with her current boyfriend, Stranger Things actor, David Harbour.
David, 45, then piped up off camera and pleaded with show's creator to cast Lily.
He said: "Ryan Murphy, please just call my girlfriend."
The hit anthology series features a different theme each season, and the next instalment had been rumoured to have an ocean theme.
Season 10 will see many American Horror Story long-time collaborators return including Sarah Poulson, Kathy Bates and Evan Peters.
Meanwhile Macaulay Culkin is joining the cast for the new series.
David also recently dropped some huge news about his Stranger Things character, Jim Hopper.
The actor shared some exciting news about the new series, which is set to include some fresh information about about his character's past.
Back in the second series of the sci-fi drama, Jim Hopper's adopted daughter Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), found some boxes hidden away in his cabin, but fans never saw what was inside them.
That's all about to change as Harbour, 45, believes the show's writers, the Duffer Brothers, will unearth some information on the policeman's past in the new batch of episodes.
He began: "In season two, Eleven discovers five boxes, one of which has Brenner’s stuff from Hawkins Lab, one of which says 'Dad,' and one of which says 'Vietnam,' and one says ‘New York.”
"So there are these three things that we’ve established in the season that if we don’t pay off, it means that they’re bad writers. And the Duffer brothers are very good writers.
"So I know specifically that in season four we will give you a big, huge reveal about Hopper’s backstory."
American Horror Story season nine is available on Now TV, while seasons 1-8 are streaming now on Netflix.
