The 49-year-old said: “No parent of young children will want to spend that much time away from home.
“And husbands and wives will baulk at being apart for so long.”
Susanna split from her partner of 16 years Dominic Cotton shortly after being partnered with Kevin Clifton on Strictly Come Dancing in 2013.
Denying she was ever a victim of the so-called Strictly curse, Susanna told Loose Women last year: "I call it the Strictly coincidence.
"Kevin and I got on like a house on fire and Strictly was not responsible for the break up of my relationship.
"I'm still fantastic friends with my ex and I'm still really good friends as well with Kevin."
She continued: "Again I would just unfortunately, especially in my case, I can't talk about anyone else, but in my case, unfortunately our relationship was at that stage.
"I would say if you look at Strictly overall and everyone who's participated the vast majority of people in relationships when they start Strictly end up in the same relationships."

Judge Craig Revel-Horwood explained: "We’ve done it in Australia and that worked really really well, where they were dancing in isolation.
"The couple have spent the two weeks together, making sure that they were safe obviously, and in their hotel rooms rehearsing and then they filmed it on top of the hotel, on the rooftop and it was amazing."
