American Horror Story boss warns season 10 will need a brand new theme or face delays of an entire year
AMERICAN Horror Story boss Ryan Murphy has warned season 10 will need a brand new theme or face delays of an entire year.
The hit anthology series features a different theme each season, and the next instalment had been rumoured to have an ocean theme.
But since the coronavirus pandemic struck, filming has been delayed and could lead Ryan to change his plans entirely.
Speaking to The Wrap, he explained: "A lot of what I was going to shoot was dependent on a very specific moment, it was a weather-dependent show.
"So, now, I don't know. I don't know what we’re going to do.
"I don't know what I'm gonna do next with that show. I don't know if I'll accelerate another season or wait 'til next year to shoot this one."
The final decision hinges on when production on the series would be able to resume.
Ryan added: "Until that day, everybody is kind of on pause, I honestly don't know.
"But it's a great season and I know all the actors are chomping at the bit to get into it, so that's all I know."
Ryan had previously hinted at an ocean theme for season 10 on his social media, writing: "things are beginning to wash up on shore."
