Inside Stacey Solomon’s son Leighton’s eighth birthday party at home with slip-and-slide and Pokemon cake

STACEY Solomon used her return to social media to share with followers happy scenes from son Leighton’s eighth birthday party.

The lockdown celebrations saw the family getting together to enjoy a homemade slip-and-slide, and even a Pokemon cake made with radishes.

Loose Women panellist , gave updates on her Instagram stories as she prepared her Essex home – which she shares with boyfriend Joe Swash and her three sons – for the big day.

Stacey, 30, created a little “birthday corner” for her second child using blue, purple and green balloons where the celebrant sat to open his cards with his brothers Zachary, 12 and baby Rex.

She updated her fans to tell them that the birthday boy was enjoying the day on his PlayStation, and thanked them for all their best wishes.

The presenter then filmed the kids having fun on a homemade slip-and-slide, using water from a hose.

A fun Pokemon cake was also made by Stacey for her son, although she admitted: “Yep, he’s got a radish and chocolate cheesecake for his birthday – it’s all I had – Isolation cake”.

Just yesterday Stacey left fans worried after revealing she is taking a break from social media for “personal reasons.”

But fans were delighted to see her return and reassure them that she was “grateful” her children were in good health.

Sharing a stunning photo of a sunrise, Stacey explained: “Lots going on here at the moment but all of the boys are safe and well, which we are so grateful for.”

She added: “Today is a special day, it’s Leighton’s birthday, so we are going to celebrate the best we can and try to forget about what is happening in the world just for a moment.”
