The man said: "It's Wednesday, 29th April 2020, live from Television Centre in London. This is Good Morning Britain with Lorraine Kelly."

Shocked Susanna shouted "oh", before Piers joked: "Good Morning Britain with Lorraine Kelly. Well, sorry to disappoint you all.

"This is what happens you see when you get to this stage of lockdown, people start to lose their minds.

"They look at Susanna and me and they see Lorraine.

"Lorraine at 6am... that would have been news to her who is still asleep."

Lorraine - who takes over Good Morning Britain at 9am - later came into the studio to reveal what was on her show today.

She laughed at the error and revealed her shock, shouting: "I still had my curlers in!"

In a funny dig at the presenter, Piers added: "We thought your ruthless power-grabbing had reached new levels."

In recent months Lorraine hasn't held back on her strong opinions while crossing over from GMB to her daily show Lorraine.

She lashed out at Prime Minister Boris Johnson's alleged mistress Jennifer Arcuri by asking "what's the point" after the businesswoman failed to answer any questions.

Then she made it very awkward for her former GMB co-star turned MP Esther McVey as she claimed not to remember her.

The 60-year-old started on GMTV in 1993 until 2010 when she started her own show that follows the main breakfast show.
