The rebooted Dutch crime drama is set and shot in the heart of Amsterdam.
Van Der Valk joins other classics such as Bond thriller Diamonds Are Forever that have been shot in the Dutch capital.

Where is Van Der Valk filmed?
The Amsterdam Canal Belt
Four canals make up the inner canal belt in Amsterdam.
These are the Singel, the Herengracht, the Keizersgracht, and the Prinsengracht.
This area is widely known in Dutch, as the Grachtengordel.
It was built in the 17th century to deal with an increasing population during the Dutch Golden age, it is now a Unesco World Heritage site.
The canals feature heavily in both season 1 and 2 of Van Der Valk.
Scheveningen Pier
Crews were spotted at the iconic Scheveningen Pier.
The historic pier extends into the North Sea, near The Hague, and is featured in season 2.
Most people visit the location for the sea views or to ride on the huge ferris wheel.

Marc Warren’s Van Der Valk lives on a vintage trawler, so he can leave the city whenever he wants.
