Westworld teases deaths of Dolores and Maeve after ‘kill-switch’ twist in brutal duel
THE two femme fatales of Westworld clashed in explosive fashion in the latest episode.
Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Maeve (Thandie Newton) finally came to blows as the former took further steps to topple the dastardly Delos corporation.
Dolores has been on a mission to topple the tech giant since breaking out of their Wild West-themed park, planting clones of herself behind company lines to hack and release critically confidential information.
Meanwhile Maeve has been reluctantly drafted into Delos’ service with the promise of being reunited with her daughter as she takes down Dolores and her band of allies.
Dolores nearly saw her plan through to completion after tracking down the formidable AI Solomon, only for Maeve to crash their meeting, armed with a samurai sword for good measure.
In a high-octane action sequence the pair battled across the facility, with Maeve seemingly gaining the upper hand after severing one of Dolores’ arms.

However in a major case of reversal Dolores pressed a button gifted to her by Solomon which saw both fighters collapse to the floor in dramatic fashion.
When Caleb (Aaron Paul) rushed to Dolores’ side he was unable to wake her, but their fates remain uncertain.
Firstly, the device couldn’t have been a generic stun mechanism, as other nearby hosts like Bernard (Jeffrey Wright) and Stubbs (Luke Hemsworth) were completely unaffected by the blast.
Then there’s the hope that their bodies could be repaired or indeed replicated, but this would only be possible if their mind cores were still intact.
