Save Me Too’s Goz actor Thomas Coombes teases drug plot and wedding in Lennie James’ season 3
SAVE Me Too actor Thomas Coombes has hinted at a potential drug plot and wedding in season 3.
The star plays Goz in the critically-acclaimed drama, one of Nelly best pals from the infamous Palm Tree pub.
In an interview with BT, the actor dished on what goes on behind the scenes at the Sky Atlantic drama and teased a drug storyline as well as a big wedding in series three.
He said: "And also the fact he [Goz] still does a bit of weed. He’s packed it in a little bit for the family, but it would be interesting to explore his dealings and what he got involved in."
He added: "I think we’d all like a wedding in a future series as well. A big knees-up with all the characters."
Coombes touched on how much the lead actor and show creator Lennie James pushed everyone to their limits and was impressed with how he was able to switch between the roles of writer and actor.
Thomas gushed: "He’s amazing and he’s so generous. He never thinks: "You’re doing your bit, I’ll sit back and relax" - he’s always there and present.
"He is the writer of the series, but when he’s on set, he’s just the actor Lennie and that’s incredible to witness."
He continued: "When you do some final run-throughs on set before the take, even in the rehearsals, Lennie would be doing his lines with tears streaming down his face.
"For the rest of the cast, that just showed us how we had to step up. He set the example."
