Too Hot To Handle’s inspirational Chloe overcame tragic deaths of step brother and aunt before Netflix show

TOO Hot To Handle's Chloe Veitch overcame two tragic family deaths within months of each other before taking part on the steamy Netflix show.

The 20-year-old was helping her dad overcome drink and drug addiction in 2014 when her step brother David died from a drink problem.

The Essex-born beauty was also bullied at her school in Clacton, but her mum Machaela praised her daughter for her strength during the tough times.

“She has been through so much and has had to grow up quicker than she needed to all, went to school and worked hard,” she said at the time. “She is a bubbly person, kind, would help anyone."

Chloe was nominated for a prestigious prize in 2015 at the Essex Young People of the Year Awards by her teacher Steve Clark.

He put her name forward for using her experience to talk to pupils at school to help them focus on their work.

She kicked off her showbiz career after winning the Top Model 2018 pageant, raising £1000 for the Children With Cancer charity in the process.

“When they called out my name as the winner I was in so much shock,” she said at the time.

“When I was accepting it there was a big bang of confetti above me and I could just hear my mum screaming in excitement.

“I’ve never done anything like this before. Ever since I was little I was always told I should go into modelling but I just didn’t know what to expect.”

Following her pageant success, Chloe travelled to South Korea where she shot a TV commercial and appeared in a variety of shoots.

She admitted: “I’ve changed a lot since the competition because I used to be this shy girl who used to get bullied, but now I’ve been asked to model in London Fashion Week.”
