Kate's husband Derek was also taken to hospital last week, where he tested positive for Covid-19, and still remains in intensive care.

The GMB host is “sick with worry” about former Labour adviser Derek, 52, who is believed to be seriously ill.

A source revealed: “This is a desperate situation for Kate who is sick with worry about Derek’s health.

“He is intensive care battling coronavirus and for obvious reasons she is beside herself.

“Kate has symptoms herself too but they are mild so she is self-isolating at home with the kids.

“She is obviously off TV too. Everyone at GMB is so worried for her.”

Kate has been forced off ITV show GMB because she has symptoms too and is now self-isolating with her children.

Earlier this week she shared a heartfelt message of support for Prime Minister Boris Johnson when he was taken into intensive care.

The television host, 52, paid tribute to the Prime Minister - just hours after he was admitted into ICU on Monday.

He has tonight left intensive care and is back in the ward at St Thomas’ Hospital.
