MUM'S THE WORD

Stacey Solomon writes her mum a letter as she admits feeling ‘sad and anxious’ being apart in lockdown

STACEY Solomon has written her mum a letter as she admitted that she is feeling "sad and anxious".

The 30-year-old star, who first became a mum at 17, revealed that she "couldn't have raised" her children without her as she reflected on their time apart during coronavirus lockdown.

Taking to her Instagram Story last night, Stacey explained that she writes down her thoughts when she feels "low", and was hoping that writing to her mum would help her sleep.

Sharing a picture of her notebook, pen, and a trusty Daim bar on her lap, the TV favourite shared: "I hope you're all ok...

"I feel so strange tonight so... I'm going to write my mum a letter.

"She's usually here most days helping me with the boys when I'm working. I spoke to her earlier and for some reason it made my tummy flip a bit.

"I couldn't have raised my pickles without her. And as sad as it sounds, she's the person I go to whenever I'm feeling nervous, and even at 30 she knows how to make me feel like everything is going to be ok...

"I miss her cuddles and just her kindness."

However, the mother-of-three was keen to insist that she wasn't complaining, adding: "I know we are so lucky to be self isolating and that some parents aren't even able to be with their babies or loved ones, which I couldn't even imagine.

"So I hope I don't sound like I'm moaning because I'm not, I just miss her.

"Sometimes when I feel a bit low I write my thoughts down and it can help, so I thought maybe if I write my thoughts down in a letter to my mum I might be able to sleep and get a deep breath in."

Stacey has been keeping fans updated on her family's day-to-day in lockdown via social media.

She related to parents everywhere as she struggled to homeschool her oldest two children after the schools closed last month.

The star has also been desperately trying to keep the little ones entertained with novel ideas on how to keep them busy - including building her own claw machine.
