ARROW show boss Marc Guggenheim revealed that he posted a fake script to keep a major character death under wraps during season one.
The screenwriter, 49, took to Twitter to explain that he shared the false document to cover up Tommy Merlyn's death in 2013.

A whopping seven years later, the screenwriter decided to reveal all and shared the three pages to his  on the social media platform.
He captioned the post: "When we (spoiler alert) killed off Tommy Merlyn at the end of Season 1, we published fake script pages to keep the secret under wraps. Here are those pages."
The fake script involves Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell), his father Malcom Meryln (John Barrowman), Oliver Jonas Queen (Stephen Amell) and Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy).
These are the four characters dealing with the aftermath of an explosion set off by Malcom.

Tommy soon realises that his childhood best friend Oliver is alive and goes on to save both him and his lover Laurel.

The script then cleverly hides the real death at the end of series one with Tommy asking his best friend is he killed his father.

Oliver replied: "I'm sorry... I had to."

Tommy angrily replies: "Now I know what I have to do. I'm going to kill you."

 It was announced in March that there will be the final season of the series and concluded on January 28, 2020
