Saturday Night Takeaway fans in tears as Ant and Dec’s final live show stars NHS workers

SATURDAY Night Takeaway fans were in tears last night after a moving End of the Show Show featuring hard-working NHS staff dancing.

Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly revealed it would be the last live show of the series, with next week's being pre-recorded, telling viewers: "It's a privilege to be on air."

Many viewers welled up at the scenes, which saw viewers' home videos of them dancing to Olly Murs singing Dance With Me Tonight.

One wrote: "Well done and thank you @itvtakeaway the end of the show show bought tears to my eyes and especially the last message from you guys!!"

Another tweeted: "Dancing and crying my eyes out to the end of the show show!"

A third posted: "As always, ant and dec keeping the countries spirits high !! Xx"

The pair broadcast last night's show with no studio audience and only a handful of crew in line with government guidelines over social distancing during the coronavirus crisis.

Writing on Twitter after the show, Ant wrote: "Wow! Overwhelmed by your lovely messages tonight.

"It was a privilege to be on air this evening. Stay safe everyone. Much love to you all."

While the clips played, Olly Murs sung live in the studio alongside Ant, Dec, regular co-stars Stephen Mulhern and Andi Peters - and guest Bradley Walsh.
