Kym excitedly announced the news in her column earlier this week - as well as a part on the 9 To 5 The Musical.
She wrote in her OK! magazine column: "I have two big announcements for you all! I can exclusively reveal that I'm joining the cast of 9 To 5 The Musical later this year, in the role played by Louise Redknapp - Violet Newstead.

This is off the back of Kym leaving Corrie. Her last episode aired on December 27.
In December Matt revealed he was quitting The One Show after nine years at the helm. His last episode will be March 31.
The 41-year-old said he was looking forward to "putting his kids to bed" after presenting the weekday evening chat show with Alex Jones.

Despite being quarantined, Matt videoed into The One Show to talk to Alex Jones earlier this week.
He told her: "To be honest with you, right, I'm not feeling as good as I normally do and I've wondered for a couple of days whether or not we've got it.
"But certainly I'm feeling pretty tired and I've got this dry cough and I don't have a fever as such, but I have been going out today to try and get a bit of fresh air.
"So yeah, I am a bit anxious about whether or not I've got it, to be fair."
