But now Kym has had to pull out too after coming down with symptoms.
"I had to cancel some work," she told .
"I was supposed to co-host The One Show, but it would have been very irresponsible of me to travel there even if I had been feeling well enough."
She joins the long list of celebrities who either have the virus or are in self-isolation.
Natasha Hamilton has fever and aches, so has begun 14-day isolation, whereas Dancing On Ice star Linda Lusardi, 61, says she's "never been so ill" as she battles the virus.
Kym excitedly announced the news in her column earlier this week - as well as a part on the 9 To 5 The Musical.
She wrote in her OK! magazine column: "I have two big announcements for you all! I can exclusively reveal that I'm joining the cast of 9 To 5 The Musical later this year, in the role played by Louise Redknapp - Violet Newstead.
"I went to see Amber Davies in it last year and absolutely loved the show - it's got a great energy and is all about empowering women, which is a really important message to send out.

This is off the back of Kym leaving Corrie. Her last episode aired on December 27.
In December Matt revealed he was quitting The One Show after nine years at the helm. His last episode will be March 31.
The 41-year-old said he was looking forward to "putting his kids to bed" after presenting the weekday evening chat show with Alex Jones.

Despite being quarantined, Matt videoed into The One Show to talk to Alex Jones earlier this week.
He told her: "To be honest with you, right, I'm not feeling as good as I normally do and I've wondered for a couple of days whether or not we've got it.
"But certainly I'm feeling pretty tired and I've got this dry cough and I don't have a fever as such, but I have been going out today to try and get a bit of fresh air.
"So yeah, I am a bit anxious about whether or not I've got it, to be fair."
