Sam Smith shares emotional snaps of ‘quarantine meltdown’ at £12m home
SAM Smith has today shared emotional snaps of them having a “quarantine meltdown” at their £12m home.
The singer, 27, has been holed up in their luxury home after self-isolating during the current coronavirus pandemic.

This afternoon Sam – who previously asked family and friends to refer to him as “they” – took to Instagram to reveal the struggle of being stuck inside.
Sharing a series of snaps of them looking in pain, they wrote next to it: “Stages of a quarantine meltdown.”
Sam’s latest post comes after they admitted yesterday to being “bored s**tless” during self-isolating.
Taking to Instagram, they admitted this was a “weird, weird time” and called on their fans to look after their mental health.
Sam began: “Hello everyone! This is a weird, weird, weird time, oh my gosh, very, very strange.
“I’m currently in my house. I have got a bit of a headache and I have allergies but I think I’m alright. But I wanted to stay in just to be safe.
“This is a weird time. I wanted to reach out to every one of you right now, and send my love. I really really hope you’re okay and I hope you’re mentally alright.”
Pointing to their head, they added: “It’s going to be challenging for anyone who gets in here a little bit, like me.”
Sam continued: “I just want to bring home and say how important I think this time right now is for all of us to remain a unit and look out for each other. Especially for all the older people – I’m worrying about my nan right now, I’m worrying about so many people.
“Be patient and giving, and share things – share food people!”
Sam – who has recently had to upgrade security at the London mansion – then revealed that they would be recording new music and attempting to create an online “sing-song” for people to come together.
“This is going to be an odd and different few weeks and I am going to try and do as much as I can to help. All I can really do – I am pretty s**t at everything else – but the only thing I can do is sing,” they shared.
“So if I’m better in a few days I am going to sing, and I am going to play some songs and record them and hopefully we can all have a little sing-song together.
“I think it would be really nice, I think we all need it. In a time like this, music is a really beautiful thing.”
Sam concluded: “Love you all very much, please please stay safe and drink loads of water.
“Read… even though I hate reading, but just try and do things that keep you busy. I think I will just watch TV as I am bored s**tless! Bye!”
The Stay With Me star bought a five-bedroom, Grade II-listed home in Hampstead, North London, where celeb neighbours include Jude Law.
The lavish home is believed to be just a stone’s throw from an 18th-century townhouse bought by the millionaire songwriter five years ago, next door to Culture Club star Boy George.
The Sun exclusively revealed in March that Sam has applied for permission to upgrade the new mansion’s security system with new CCTV cameras, motion sensors and entry system monitors after security became a priority after they repeatedly fell victim to thieves in the past.
Sam — who wrote the theme tune to 2015 James Bond film Spectre — was left horrified in 2014 when burglars, who realised the singer was on the bill at Glastonbury, ransacked the star’s former South London home.
It was said to be the second time it was broken into that year.
