SATURDAY Night Takeaway has been hit with 90 Ofcom complaints after an audience member swore during last week’s live show.
Ant and Dec were forced to apologise when a guest used the F-word as she got a raunchy striptease – but despite their apology viewers were unimpressed with the language which aired before 9pm.
During the episode the Geordie duo set out to surprise two wives who had gone to see Magic Mike Live in London, sending their husbands to perform on stage live.
The two men had been secretly rehearsing for weeks, and the wives got the shock of their lives when they saw their spouses strip off alongside the Magic Mike hunks.
One mouthed the F-word as she realised who was gyrating in front of her, and when Stephen Mulhern brought them onto the Magic Mike stage, she wasn't able to stop.
When he asked her what she had thought, she said: "I thought f*** me, is that my husband?"
Stephen quickly moved on, but not before calling her a potty mouth.
After the show returned to the studio, Ant and Dec both apologised, with Dec saying: "Apologies again if you were offended by any of the language or any of the lip reading.
"What we can say, two hunky men and an excitable audience it's a fantastic formula isn't it?"
Sadly for the hosts, it wasn't the only swearing mishap on the show.
The pair brought Singalong Live back for the first time this series, shocking viewers in their own living rooms by popping up on screen to tell them they were taking part.

But one male contestant got such a shock when they said his name, he mouthed "s**t" to his family sitting next to him.
Ant, 44, immediately apologised, telling the viewers: "Don't swear on live TV. Sorry about that."
The pair won't have to worry about the same mistake this weekend though because they will be shooting the show without a studio audience due to the coronavirus outbreak.
