The Voice UK’s live semi final and grand finale postponed amid coronavirus pandemic
THE Voice UK has postponed the final two episodes amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The ITV show took the "difficult decision" but said they are working to bring the semi final and grand finale to screens as soon as it's safe.
A statement from ITV reads: "We have, however, taken the difficult decision to postpone until later this year The Voice UK’s live semi final and final, which were due on air on the 28th March and 4th April, and are working to replace them in the schedule with some bespoke Voice specials.
"We are also working with our production colleagues to see how we can make the BGT live shows work in an ever changing situation and we will update on this in due course."
Longtime coaches Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am and former X Factor star Olly Murs are yet to comment.
US singer Meghan Trainor, who replaced Jennifer Hudson as the female coach on the show this year, has also stayed silent on the news so far.
The All About That Base singer boasts of having one of the biggest selling singles of all time, previously revealed about signing up to the show: "A lot of times, I get hard on myself and I get insecure.
"I'm like, 'I'm a baby here and I haven't accomplished anything (the other judges) have'."
The winner of The Voice UK will get a record deal with Polydor Records alongside the release of their debut single.
