NICO Mirallegro is no stranger to TV fans thanks to roles on shows like Hollyoaks and My Mad Fat Diary.
But as he stars in new Channel 5 drama, Pennance, we look back at the star's career so far.
Who is Nico Mirallegro?
Nico was born in Manchester in 1991, and attended the Manchester School of Acting.
He landed his first TV role in 2007 when he bagged a role as Newt.
After two years in the job, he left the job aged 18 to pursue other opportunities.
Nico, 29, has appeared in London’s Royal Court and also taken part in celebrity charity matches for Help For Heroes and Once Upon a Smile.
What roles has Nico Mirallegro played?
After his years at Hollyoaks, Nico went on to star in Doctors, Moving On, Last Tango in Halifax, The Village and Upstairs Downstairs.
In 2013, he played Finn Nelson in My Mad Fat Diary. He then had parts in The Ark and Virtuoso before starring in 2016’s Rillington Place as Timothy Evans.
2020 sees the actor play Jed in Penance, the dark and mysterious character whose parents passed away.
He then develops feelings for Julie Graham’s character Rosalie Douglas, who is grieving the loss of her son Rob.
Nico will also star as Prof in season four of Our Girl.

When is Penance on Channel 5?
The first episode of the new drama series kicked on March 17, 2020 on Channel 5.
The psychological thriller is a three-part series which is available to watch on catch up on after it has aired.
Airing on three consecutive nights, the drama comes to an end on March 19, 2020.
