First Dates’ Fred Sirieix reveals he’s engaged to girlfriend ‘Fruitcake’
FIRST Dates star Fred Sirieix has got engaged to his girlfriend.
The smooth Frenchman, 48, shared a cosy picture with his other half, who he affectionately calls 'Fruitcake', on Instagram.
He wrote: "#fruitcake🍫❤️ said yes 💍."
And Fred told The Sun Online of his plans to celebrate, saying: "We are delighted. As soon as all this is over we are off to Negril for a party on the beach”
His co-star Cici Coleman wrote underneath his announcement: "Awww Fred!!!!! So so happy for you both ❤️❤️❤️."
Heavyweight boxer Dillian Whyte posted: "Cangrats pal."
Greg Rutherford commented: "Congratulations mate! You guys are amazing. Well done x."
Fred is very private about his love life.
In July 2016, he revealed he had never been married before, adding that the closest thing to marriage had been his 12-year-old relationship with ex Alex.
And two years later Fred took to his social media account to reveal he was in a new relationship with his now fiancée.
Speaking to Fabulous, Fred gave a small insight into their lives, revealing: "Occasionally, I’ll go for a little wine and some tapas after work with my partner, who I like to call “fruitcake”.
"It’s nice to have a relaxing conversation and chill out when you’ve had a long day. If I do get the chance to be in the kitchen, I love making fresh pasta. I find rolling it out very therapeutic and I get flour everywhere; it’s great fun.
"In the evenings I like nothing more than sitting down with a beer and watching something on Netflix."
He has two children from his previous relationship: Andrea, 15, and Lucien, 10.
Earlier this month The Sun exclusively revealed Fred is fronting a new dating show set to feature gay, straight, bi and trans teens looking for love.
The E4 series, Teen First Dates, comes hot on the heels of viewers’ favourite First Dates.

And playing cupid once again will be charming maître d’ Fred Sirieix and his trusty staff.
For some young contestants this will be their first date ever.
But unlike ITV2’s Love Island, bosses want singletons of all sexualities, shapes and sizes.
Twenty Twenty, the production firm behind First Dates, will start filming the six-parter in Manchester later this year.
