Ex-Strictly star Brendan Cole signs up for Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins
HE made a name for himself as the gobbiest star on Strictly so it will be interesting to see if Brendan Cole is as cocky with Army hardman Ant Middleton.
The ballroom dancer, who left the BBC series in 2018, has signed up to the celebrity version of SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Brendan will be put through his paces by Ant and his team in the upcoming show.
A TV source said: “Brendan jumped at the chance when he was approached.
“He joked that being pushed to his limit would be a walk in the park in comparison to facing off with Craig Revel Horwood on Strictly.
“Brendan is physically fit but he wanted to test himself mentally. SAS: Who Dares Wins is renowned for taking contestants to their lowest point and building them back up again. Brendan couldn’t have been more excited about the challenge.”
Brendan joins Hollyoaks star Nikki Sanderson in the series, which will air on Channel 4 later this year.
The first celebrity spin-off show last year saw footballer Wayne Bridge come out ahead of Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton, Made In Chelsea’s Sam Thompson and TV presenter AJ Odudu.
Brendan’s big mouth got him into hot water during his 15-year stint on Strictly, so it’ll be interesting to see if he can rein it in.
If he does manage to hold back his temper, he’s got a chance of coming out on top.

JOHN Torode might be a top chef but it’s his wife Lisa Faulkner who’s teaching him new tricks in the kitchen. The MasterChef judge said: “Lisa always tells me why are you making it (cooking) so difficult – if you do this it’s quicker.”
The Red Housewives of Cheshire
THEY’RE used to seeing red with each other but now the stars of The Real Housewives Of Cheshire are wearing it to promote the new series on ITVBe.
After the show began in 2015, it became a hit with viewers and original star Dawn Ward leads the pack into the 11th series, which starts soon.
Expect fireworks and first-world problems.
Biggs is binned by Love Island's Bec
IT’S been four weeks since the first winter series of Love Island ended and the shine is already starting to come off for some of the couples.
Biggs Chris and Rebecca Gormley – who hooked up after leaving the ITV2 series – hit the skids after she was spied getting cosy with ex-islander Michael Griffiths during a boozy night out in London.
Pals called out Rebecca after she started the night with Biggs before heading home with Michael. A source said: “Rebecca was really letting loose and being really flirty with Michael.
“Biggs went home early and when he was out of the door, Michael made a beeline for her.
“Everyone warned Rebecca off but she wasn’t listening. When the night ended she went to McDonalds with Michael before they were seen getting into an Uber together.
“Michael was boasting about getting to know Rebecca a lot better the following day.”
And they say romance is dead. I think this is the nail in the coffin.

Why Dan is a drag
DANNY Dyer was so convincing in drag during the special Pride episode of EastEnders last year the professionals want him to do it again.
RuPaul’s Drag Race star Michelle Visage wants the hardman to feature in a celebrity version of the BBC hit.
She said: “I think Celebrity Drag Race is suited for the UK though.
“There’s a lot of celebrities I would love to see. Let’s start with Danny Dyer.”
It comes after a stars’ version of the US show was announced last year.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a celeb series here too.
