EastEnders spoilers: Ian Beale in danger as he stands up to Dotty Cotton’s blackmail
IAN Beale is issued a chilling threat by Dotty Cotton after he stands up to her in EastEnders next week.
Nasty Nick’s daughter is trying to blackmail Ian into giving her the Arches after finding evidence that he's responsible for Denny’s boat disaster death.
EastEnders viewers had watched Ian confront Denny over the Islamophobic abuse he'd been levelling at Bobby Beale, before locking the troublesome teen in a room below deck on the boat to teach him a lesson.
But Ian's plan to show Dennis who's boss backfired terrible when the boat crashed and Denny drowned.
Before his death, Dennis left a voicemail for Sharon in which he begged Ian to let him go from the room as it filled with water.
Viewers then watched Dotty stumble across the incriminating voicemail.
Ian’s face went ashen when Dotty played Dennis’s cries out loud, before telling her he’d do anything in exchange for her silence.
Dotty wasted little time naming her price for keeping quiet - insisting she wants the Arches.
But Ian insisted that it belonged to Ben Mitchell and that he couldn't give it to her, leading Dotty forced to step up her threats.
Next week’s episodes of EastEnders will see Dotty continue to pile the pressure on Ian to give her what she wants.
In the upcoming scenes, Ian sneaks out to meet Dotty who urges him to give her the keys or have his secret revealed.
But Ian refuses and heads out to Dennis’s funeral as if nothing has happened.
Later, Dotty stumbles upon Vinny spraying his graffiti around the Square and the pair strike up a friendship.
The troublesome teen then demands the restaurant keys from Ian and invites Vinny for a drink.
Meanwhile, Ian skulks around in the shadows as he does his best to avoid Dotty.
After a few too many drinks, Vinny and Dotty head to Ruby’s.
But when Vinny realises that Dotty is out to cause trouble he heads home, leaving Dotty to her own devices.
Things escalate rapidly when Dotty ends up stealing a man’s wallet.
But as he chases after her, Peter saves the day.
