Channel 4 and Fred Sirieix are launching First Dates Teens for 16 to 19-year-olds
THEY’RE young, gifted and woke – a new dating show is set to feature gay, straight, bi and trans TEENS looking for love.
The E4 series, Teen First Dates, comes hot on the heels of viewers’ favourite First Dates.
And playing cupid once again will be charming maître d’ Fred Sirieix and his trusty staff.
For some young contestants this will be their first date EVER.
But unlike ITV2’s Love Island, bosses want singletons of all sexualities, shapes and sizes.
Twenty Twenty, the production firm behind First Dates, will start filming the six-parter in Manchester later this year.
'ALL SHAPES AND SIZES'
A source said: “While Love Island was criticised for casting slim, good-looking singletons, Teen First Dates will give everyone the chance to find love — regardless of shape, size and sexuality.
“As the contestants are more inexperienced, crew are keen to be gentle with them and are expecting a lot of nerves, especially as some won’t have been on a date before.”
Frenchman Fred, who has a legion of fans, will coach them through the trials and tribulations of dating.
He said recently: “If you’re shy, it’s difficult.
“We all have doubt, we all worry. But some worry more than others.
"This goes back to being positive about yourself.
"There is nothing more attractive than confidence.”
Fred also knows it helps to be French and a super-fit boxer . . .
Must watch
WHAT? Sport Relief 2020, BBC1, 7pm.
WHY? Line Of Duty’s AC-12 unit star in a special sketch with Lee Mack, while a host of celebs including Jennifer Saunders join in the fund-raising fun.
Crouches risk fight to finish
TRAVELLING with your other half can be stressful, particularly if it involves reading maps, but Peter Crouch and missus Abbey Clancy are doing just that – and turning it into a TV show.
The husband-and-wife duo are making a pilot for the BBC called 6 Foot 7 Wonders Of The World – a reference to the ex-footballer’s giant stature.
Peter and Abbey, who have four kids and have been married for nine years, will journey to Finland for the show, made by production company Fulwell 73.
A TV insider said: “The move firmly establishes the lofty England striker as a favourite among telly bosses who have hired him for several TV shows on the back of his everyman persona.
“Peter’s the sort of bloke everyone finds funny and relatable, and it’s obvious he and Abbey have a dynamic which will make for good viewing.”
Though Abbey is best known as a model, she is no stranger to TV.
As well as hosting Sky Living’s Britain’s Next Top Model and ITV2’s The Fashion Show she won Strictly Come Dancing seven years ago.
Peter will also star in Fulwell 73’s series Crouch’s Euro Fest 2020, which will air this summer and will tie in with the Euro 2020 football tournament.
I think these two will soon be one of telly’s golden couples.

The six-part show – adapted from a Belgian TV show of the same name – follows the OCD criminologist as he helps solve cases.
Hayley's love on the run
WHEN Hayley Morrison went on Hunted a marriage proposal was the last thing she was expecting.
But that’s precisely what happens on the Channel 4 show next week when her fellow fugitive, boyfriend Daniel Ryder, decides to pop the question on the banks of a Welsh harbour.
Daniel, a gym owner from Wigan, even gets down on one knee to propose – but he has to be quick as their pursuers are closing in.
Before taking part in the show, Daniel said: “We have a strong relationship and never argue. We’ve been through a lot of harder things during our time together – so this should be a walk in the park.”
To find out if Hayley even has time to answer, you will have to watch the final episode on Thursday.
If they do decide to walk down the aisle . . . I hope the only people following them are their bridesmaids.

NEIGHBOURS fans will see more of Courtney Act. The drag queen, aka Shane Jenek, is back following her recent cameo.
She said: “I’m filming a multi-episodic arc.
Courtney Act is coming to Lassiter’s Pride, which is very exciting.”
Living is squeezy for Alice
ALICE EVE looks pretty relaxed in pink after hours spent crammed into a corset for new ITV drama Belgravia.
She plays Susan Trenchard in Julian Fellowes’s six-part period epic which starts on Sunday.
Alice told This Morning: “You can’t get much food in when you’re wearing a corset but you can make up for it when it’s off.”

Amanda blessed
AMANDA REDMAN seems like one of the most confident women on TV.
But the 62-year-old star of The Good Karma Hospital, which returns to ITV on Sunday, counts her blessings as a mature actress who is still in demand.
Amanda said: “As a woman of my age I’m lucky to be working. I’m about the only one of my age, I think, playing a leading role.
“They just don’t write for people our age.
"They think we’re not interesting, which we all know couldn’t be further from the truth.”
